Why You Should Build Your Personal Brand
It's 2025, don't be left behind. Continue to build your brand, and if your not doing so already. Here's why you shouldn't wait!
Were in a period of time where you need to self market yourself. Some people shy away from trying to prop themselves up publicly. They may be scared of others trying to shoot them down. “Stay with the herd”, kind of mindset.
But you say “NO” and you do it anyways! If your not doing anything meaningful then what do you do. Do you know someone that does NOTHING?! They don’t have a goal. They don’t try to build anything or Jeez they don’t even go to parties.
Importance of a Personal Brand
A personal brand has something behind it. Passion, could be the word. It’s something that your building and leveraging to progress forwards.
Why wouldn’t you leverage the skills and talents that you already have. You get paid to do one thing at your job, but if your good at marketing, public speaking, or building systems. Skills that could propel a business or company you wouldn’t be sought for.
They begin to be skills that aren’t being leveraged. Instead you put your strengths out for display.
How Do I Start a Personal Brand?
By being authentic is the real answer. Since I’ve been building my brand, it’s been I’m a “photographer”. It was something I was interested in. To become a photographer, there was the business side. That was the beginning of building business skills.
Allowing me to bring visual marketing to my customers and create transformational portraits. This substack is a value add for my customers. How much value are you going to bring?

These are pillars of value, and then you connect them to your niche. Instagram, Substack, LinkedIn, Facebook, YouTube and etc. They all perform differently and are lucrative tools. All help deliver value to your target audience.
Starting out, were not deserving at all. You can post 100 times, but “your way” as if social media will pamper the algorithm to you. Your not “shadow banned”. Just continue to build your audience and community. Refining the ways you deliver your content.
